        v.(动词)

        mention的基本意思是“提到”“说起”,如口头或书面提及某人的名字,提及或简述某事物等,以引起注意。

        mention是及物动词,可接名词、代词或动名词作宾语,还可接以that或疑问词引导的从句作宾语。可用于被动结构。

        mention偶尔也可接以as短语充当补足语的复合宾语。

        mention不可用于mention sb sth 结构,“对…提起…”可以说mention sb/sth to sb 或mention to sb that/wh-clause结构。

        not to mention可用如连词,其后只接名词短语。

        mention作名词与动词的意思基本一致,指人们口头或书面对某人或某事物进行简短陈述,是单数名词,可与不定冠词连用。

        mention常与介词of连用。

        v.(动词)

        not to mention, let alone

        这两者都可用如连词,其区别仅在于:not to mention后只接名词短语,而let alone后可接任何词。另外, let alone只用于非正式语体中,且多用于否定句。例如:

        I had never seen him, let alone spoken to him.我从未见过他,更不用说与他交谈了。
